Kung Fu Jew
This is the limited edition 12 year anniversary dvd that includes directors’ commentary option and 2 previously unreleased short films from the directors of Kung Fu Jew (Hidden Temple & The Squid Ink Scrolls).
Kung Fu Jew is the story of a martial arts legacy
that spans the ages. The film begins in ancient Israel
where one of the twelve tribes of Israel is scattered
by a Babylonian invasion. After an epic battle that
fuses kung fu mythology with elements of
Jewish mysticism, the film travels to Babylon, Long
Island in 1971. Descendants of the ancient warriors,
a Jewish socialist (Tzadic Yossi) and a black
revolutionary (Shazzam Shabazz Shabbat Shalom)
unite under their shared martial arts heritage to
battle sinister agents of the FBI. The final chapter
finds the children of the idealistic 70’s radicals
struggling to reunite the tribe in the racially tense
environment of Brooklyn.
